Additional documentation and fixes to the software, are things that grows, based on user feedback and trouble tickets. The more users use the plugin and report back issues, the better the plugin will become. So, feel free to send us your feedback, so that we can improve things for all VM4B users.

Spanish or English?

We currently have no native Spanish speakers on the Sankuru team. However, Google Translate does miracles. Google translations are not perfect, but they are definitely usable.

Much of the detailed technical documentation for 4B is in Spanish, and we managed perfectly well to implement the details using the Spanish-language documentation. So, if you feel that you prefer to email us in Spanish, feel free to communicate in Spanish with us.

Overview

VM4B is a Virtuemart payment plugin to allow the webshop to process credit card payments through Sistema 4B.

Sistema 4B is a payment processor based in Spain, but with a Europe-wide vocation.

The system works pretty much like Paypal and other forms-based processors. In our experience, the service is definitely reliable. The 4B people take their online payment service seriously, and do have a reputation to uphold.

Our plugin installs a communication logger component, to track the detailed communication between your webshop and 4B. It allows your site admin to transmit very precise and qualified trouble tickets when communication issues occur between you and the 4B payment gateway. If something goes wrong, you always know when exactly it happened, and what the two systems were saying to each other.

Configuration parameters

If your site's url is, for example, http://mysite.es, you will need to enter the following configuration parameters in the 4B administration console on the 4B admin web site:

We have never had any client who needed the WAP configuration option. Therefore, we have not (yet) included support for it, in the current version of the plugin.

Assistance and peace-of-mind service

We answer general questions concerning the VM4B plugin, free of charge.  For particular VM4B users, this may not be sufficient. You may feel that you want specific guide-through assistance with your Virtuemart/VM4B installation. We will guide you through the 4B simulador (test mode) and 4B go-live procedure, all the way until you can start collecting credit card payments online in your Virtuemart webshop.

We can fully take upon us the rôle of technical implementation partner, and resolve technicalities in collaboration with the 4B helpdesk and technical people on your behalf.

Implementation procedure

We will perform the following tasks during the implementation procedure:

1. installation & verification plugin
2. configuration for simulador
3. developer test in simulador with dummy credit cards
4. help client with test in simulador with dummy credit cards
5. issue request to go live
6. help client with test in live gateway with his real credit card

In order to ahead, we will need the following required information:

1. webshop site url
2. ftp user/pwd
3. joomla superadmin user/pwd
4. management/config console user/pwd (for https://tpv.4b.es/consultas & https://tpv.4b.es/config)
5. Clave del comercio--Key trade

The remark fields to enter are the following:

1. Trade Name/ Nombre del comercio
2. Virtual Store Name/Nombre de la tienda virtual
